Hi Heramb! Thanks for the advice, though this applies to Goldendict which
I can't even install on Android 14 anymore.

Hello, I'm the developer of the program you have mentioned. If you installed SilverDict on Termux with the provided script then the default folder is /storage/emulated/0/Documents/Dictionaries (check by going to the web UI at http://localhost:2628 then click on the menu icon, navigate to Library -> Sources, and you should see all your dictionary sources here.) Put the dictionary there and click on the refresh icon in the bar, which will make the program automatically scan and index the dictionary. The first look-up will be slow, then everything will be very smooth. If you still experience problems, try disabling battery management for termux. If there's anything unclear, let me know! |

So it won't work on Android? I need just "offline" local folders where i
put dictionary files.
I can open new topic to discuss elsewhere can you suggest.
Thank you!

The app in F-droid is not a full, standalone dictionary app. It has to
work with a SilverDict server <https://github.com/Crissium/SilverDict>
instance. You could read more here:

Question
Body
Could someone of the developers tell how to add the custom dictionary files to the folder. Where is this folder located? I have a dictionary that worked great for me in GoldenDict. I had to place three files (.dict + .idx + .ifo ) into GoldenDict folder: /storage/emulated/0/GoldenDict
Now I have Android 14 and I would very like to continue using with the SilverDict application. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
