There is plenty of support for parsing Perl. https://tree-sitter.github.io/tree-sitter/ has https://github.com/tree-sitter-perl/tree-sitter-perl and https://github.com/tree-sitter-perl/tree-sitter-pod listed. Can we get them integrated into GitHub?
