To delete your GitHub account just go to your account settings, scroll down to the Delete Account section and click on Delete your account.

I tried this and it doesn't work I'm contacting BBB because they give instructions on how permanently delete your account but it doesn't work on the website or the app

I've tried everything to get my account permanently deleted and can't on the website or the app this is ridiculous if they don't comply I'm reaching out to BBB

To delete your GitHub account permanently, follow these steps:
Log In to GitHub: Open your web browser, go to GitHub.com, and log into your account.
Access Account Settings: Click on your profile picture in the top right corner and select "Settings" from the dropdown menu.
Navigate to Account Settings: In the left sidebar, click on "Account."
Initiate Account Deletion: Scroll down to the "Danger Zone" section at the bottom of the page and click on the "Delete your account" link.
Verify Your Identity: GitHub will prompt you to enter your password for security verification. Enter your password and click "Sign in."
Confirm Deletion: You will be asked to confirm your decision by typing your username or email address and entering "delete my account" in the provided field.
Finalize Deletion: Click on the button that says "Cancel plan and delete this account" to complete the process.
Important Considerations
Irreversibility: Once deleted, all repositories, stars, forks, gists, and contributions will be permanently removed and cannot be recovered

Grace Period: GitHub offers a grace period during which you can cancel the deletion if you change your mind
Make sure you are certain about this decision, as it cannot be undone.

I've requested through customer service to permanently delete my account I followed all the steps for account deletion and when I come to where your supposed click delete account it doesn't work
