Please help me to change the Github Username.

Changing your GitHub username is a straightforward process, but it’s important to keep in mind a few things, such as potential impacts on repositories, links, and collaborations.

Here's how to change your GitHub username:

1. Sign in to your GitHub account.

2. Go to your profile:

   • Click your profile picture in the top-right corner.
   • Select Your profile from the dropdown.

3. Go to settings:

   • In the top-right corner, click on your profile picture again and choose Settings from the dropdown menu.

4. Navigate to the "Account" section:

   • In the left-hand menu, under Account settings, click Account.

5. Change your username:

   • In the Username section, click the Edit button next to your current username.
   • Enter the new username you want and check for availability. GitHub will automatically validate whether the username is available or not.

6. Save the change:

   • Once you've entered your desired username, click Change username.

7. Review and Confirm:

   • GitHub will show a warning about the consequences of changing your username (i.e., breaking old links to your repositories and your profile). You’ll also see suggestions for dealing with these issues, such as redirecting your old profile and repository URLs to the new ones.

8. Check for broken links:

   • If you have any personal websites, documentation, or other references to your GitHub profile or repositories, be sure to update those links to reflect the new username.

Things to keep in mind:

• Repository links: Any repositories you own or contribute to will still be available under your new username, but old URLs (with your previous username) will redirect to the new one.
• Other services: If you have integrated GitHub with other services (CI/CD, project management tools, etc.), be sure to update your username where necessary.
• Impact on contributions: Your past commits will still show up in the contribution graph, but they will be associated with your new username.
