Hello Michael, thanks for your question! Unfortunately the Loop Builder like the Posts Widget and Theme Builder is part of Elementor Pro, and depends on key Elementor Pro features and infrastructure that is not part of Elementor Core. |

Hello Michael, that's a great request! For this phase though only the functionality explained in the initial post will be implemented. The sticky container problem is largely fixed in the new version. The only problem now is that if we make the right container sticky in a 2-column container, it will move to the opposite side after scrolling. But if we put the left container in Sticky mode, there will be no problem. Also, please check this if possible. Common bug between free version (container) and pro version (menu cart widget). |

According to the image below the widget is not getting completely pegasojo. It duplicates and underneath it continues to climb the image and is on top of the Header. It should stop just below the header once I've set up a scroll limit. in the Image there are arrows highlighting the bug.

If dynamic tag is used in global colors, interesting ui will not be created. There could be a better way.
About the sticky container issue, this is really the only reason I won't be using containers for now. I hope this problem will be solved soon. Also, please don't forget the carousel for the Loop builder. And of course compatibility with WooCommerce, ACF and Jet Engine. |

@Joliamendi I agree, but the solution I gave is a temporary fix until we evaluate the best way to address this pain point. As for it being a normal behavior, this is how it works by default in CSS. Since the direct parent has a different width, and the position property of the sticky element is changed, the element will respect the normal CSS behavior and align itself as defined in CSS, which by default is at the node/point zero from top, and node/point zero from left, or simply top-left. For now, unless it's given a specific position, distance, or simply applied an auto-margin, it will respect the default behavior. Some considerations are being made to find a proper solution that won't compromise compatibility with other features. On a side note, as a developer, my preference in terms of flexibility and freedom of control would be to keep this default behavior so we can decide how we want the sticky element to behave. I would much prefer adding a wrapper element that would serve as the container for the sticky element than, having to deal with JS that could possibly limit the control over the sticky element in other situations. So my advice is to consider using the wrapper container (like how it works with columns) approach in this case. If the concern is performance I can guarantee as a developer that a single wrapper element won't make any impact on page loading and rendering. Sticking elements is not something we use very often, and the trade-off between complex JS solutions vs a single wrapper container is not worth it in my humble opinion. But keep in mind that this is only a personal suggestion, and this does not reflect the product, or Elementor's intentions, or future decisions on this matter. This is just me considering the way browsers render elements, and what I would prefer as a web creator. |

For bugs in beta releases, we ask you to please submit them individually so we can track them, and address them properly. In your case, you don't need to submit a new issue for each bullet point, just by grouping them by component for example (divider, spacer), or subject will be enough for us to properly:

I found a bug with the Loop Grid. If the Loop Item has a button, when you click on the button of the first item in the Loop Grid the first time, the text in the button disappears and doesn't go anywhere. The second click on this same button then takes you to the correct link. |

Regarding adding an 'a' HTML tag to a container. I know you have put in a message about the container breaking if nested links are added but ideally can't this be fixed to some degree, for example, widgets like buttons or the logo widget have an 'a' wrapper applied automatically, maybe have this removed if the parent container has an 'a' tag? Just my thought. On odd occasions, I have had customers who want whole blocks clickable as links but have a button to show it is something to click on << almost like the call to action widget. |

Hello @perks98. This is something complicated. By default WordPress sanitization closes any HTML tags that haven't been closed yet, including anchor tags. With anchor tags, the sanitization is even more complex, and what happens is that it will consider the next closing anchor tag to be from the container, instead of the element inside the container. This triggers a loop of broken markup that will break everything that comes after that anchor tag. I've been dealing with this for ages and it's very difficult to implement a way to prevent this behavior without compromising security or other under-the-hood sanitizations. There are some alternatives you can consider though, like absolute positioning an empty anchor tag inside a container and adjusting z-index for the other elements with links to be over that anchor tag. Hey @perks98. I can say with confidence that for now, this is not something planned due to the issues I outlined. But if we find a way of doing this safely, we will definitely consider it. It's complicated to achieve, and we don't want to compromise on safety or make something more prone to break than working consistently in unnumbered use cases. This has the potential of corrupting the entire output and we don't want to take the risk. I hope this makes sense. Thanks for chiming in though, it's important to us to be able to understand our user's needs! |

Me again. I was just thinking of something that's been years overdue: Please add that one feature that is just a minor thing and has been in a different place in Elementor for years, namely a FILTER BAR for categories, etc. It's been there for the portfolio widget for a long time, but not for the post widget, which is totally pointless.
The best is, add this feature in this beta and all of us will be even happier! 👀 |

+1 Just for the reference, the original request is here #3140 (since 01/2018, and there's one even older from 05/2017: #1716). Without it implemented, I won't be able to replace a 3rd party widget I use for listing the posts. TBH, this issue is probably THE most mind-boggling from all of them on Github. The feature is basically ready and working in almost the same widget. It should be of close to zero labour to make it work. Why, oh why? I don't get it... |

Hello, the issue with the sticky nav container still hasn't been fixed. (Elementor Free and Pro on Version 3.9.0-dev1). I'm still on Elementor 3.7 (Both Free and Pro) because after this version, all the websites I use this layout on, have the same behavior as the attached video. This is a common layout, and everything worked just fine until the recent updates.. Screen.Recording.2022-09-20.at.21.36.12.2.movI attached the template, or you can also view it at the following link: https://test10.azkm.design/sticky-nav-test/. When you resize the window as I do in the video, it breaks. Change .txt to .json and upload it to your test environment. Thank you, hope it gets fixed soon so I can finally update. |

@nicholaszein I'm on Elementor Free 3.9.0-dev4 and Pro 3.9.0-dev5. The template: https://test10.azkm.design/sticky-nav-test/ doesn't break anymore, everything seems alright. This is the code to make use of the sticky effects, and it works without issues now: I noticed that if you normally set the padding for the container, let's say 20px everywhere:
If the container is set to boxed, those 20px values split like this: If the container is set to full width, all padding values get added to .e-con. When I'm using the code above, I don't set any padding in the editor, and add the padding in my code instead, therefore, that padding gets added to .e-con, and there are no issues. So, my question is why the padding values get split like that when it works without splitting them too? |

That could be due to the content width field resetting to nothing if set to full width before. @avivu has already said the following about that.
The only solution right now is to manually re-input the content width into every container that is broken or rollback to a previous beta and wait for a fixed version. |

Let me mention another container bug related to z-index... I created a header with a white background color and it has a shadow in the bottom. The header container is in stivky mode (The image below). The problem is that when I scroll, the handles of the containers on the page are placed above the header. This greatly affects the visual effect. Please see the following image :
I hope it helps to fix it before the official release of 3.8. |

Hi, I haven't followed development of 3.8 step by step but a question regarding a bug that basically for many agencies make custom breakpoints unusable. If your page loads and kind of template other than native header or footer, custom breakpoints won't work on the front-end. So basically I use JetEngine and their listings with certain templates for Menus, pricing, Woo products etc. If I create a custom break point like for smaller laptop screens, I can then see changes in the Elementor editor, but they are not visible on the front-end. Elementor support confirmed this issue but gave no ETA. What's then the point of having custom breakpoints if they are not compatible if there is a template/dynamic data? Is this going to be fixed in 3.8? Hope that sticky isssue will be fixed... as AGAIN their is an issue with a screen jumping on scroll when changing direction - I mean how the hell did Elementor Devs manage to break it again? It was fixed with 3.6 (while being broken for 4 months) .. |

The spacer widget still has two issues with the container. 1- In the row container, it cannot be accessed except by using navigation. (At the beginning of the video below) 2- If you add the spacer widget exactly as shown in the video below, it works but the styling is broken. spacer.widget.mp4In general, this widget does not work properly in the row container. |

Introducing The Loop Builder - Pro feature
Elementor 3.8 will be introducing the first phase of the Loop Builder. The Loop Builder enables you to create and design the main item for repeating content (i.e. loops) such as listings, as well as customize its layout on the page. By creating a main item template yourself, you gain a lot more design and dynamic content flexibility than the Posts widget allows you to achieve.
The first phase of the Loop Builder includes the ability to create a main item for posts, and custom post types, future updates will include full WooCommerce support, and additional capabilities that will enhance your website.
Creating your Main Item Template
There are two ways to design your main item template:
To design your main item template, you can use nearly any of the widgets in Elementor. Each of the widgets you use, can be assigned any of the dynamic values available on your website, or they can be left as static and used to enhance the design of your main item.
Displaying the Loop on a Page
The loop templates you create can be used on any page, using the Loop Grid widget. With this widget, you can determine the name of the template you would like to use, the data source from WordPress to display content from, and adjust the layout, style and pagination to your liking.
Important Note for Cloud Hosted Website Users
Please note that in order to eliminate conflict with other third party plugins, the naming convention for the Loop template has changed from ‘Loop’ to ‘Loop Item.’ As a result, if you’ve created loop templates with previous Cloud versions of Elementor, they will be deleted. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. On the new version, this will be solved and templates will be saved properly.
How to Test It:
Create an In-place loop
Create a loop item from the Theme Builder
Flexbox Containers beta - Now Marked as Stable
After having gone through extensive testing, and reviewed under a variety of use cases and integrations, this version marks the status of the Flexbox Containers experiment as beta, and is now considered stable. That means you can feel confident using them on your own website.
We will make an effort to ensure that any changes and improvements made to Containers from this point forward will also be backwards compatible, and should not affect the way they appear or function on existing websites who have activated the experiment. Since for some of you, Flexbox Containers will require some learning and getting used to, for the time being - it will be your decision when to activate the experiment and use Containers on your website. [That is also why, they will still be located under the Experiment tab in Elementor Settings for the time being].
Please note, if you decide to activate the experiment, and design layouts using the Container, but then decide to deactivate the experiments, all website parts created with Containers may disappear.
To learn more about how you can use Flexbox Containers on your website, you can also try it out yourself first in the Elementor Flexbox Playground

Ever downloaded a website kit but then changed your mind? With this update, you don’t need to restore your entire website to a previous version or manually undo all the global styles applied by the kit or delete the pages it came with.
Any kit downloaded from this version onwards can be easily removed by going to the Import/Export tab under Elementor Settings → Tools section(from the WordPress dashboard) and clicking the ‘Remove Kit’ button. This button will only appear if you downloaded a kit after updating to this version.
