This week I've been working on text rendering (23% of Orders startup time). I've found we can reduce text rendering time by 70%:
Per-glyph improvements are implemented (#5725). I will finish the per-codepoint improvements on Tuesday (#5722).
After that, the big fish to fry is documentation parsing:
