IR weak signal

So I setup IR codes for my Lasko Fan with (IR remote.)

At first I didn't think it was working at all but then I thought maybe the signal is weak.
I have to have the puck less then 1.25 feet(0.33 meters) from the fan for it to work.
When I take it out of the case I can get about 2 feet.

Can I boast the signal the IR puts out on the PUCK.JS

If you're on 1v92 I don't think there's too much you can do. That firmware should have increased the IR output power as much as it can already. It's odd because when I was trying it with a normal IR receiver I was getting almost 2m with the new firmware I think.

You could try it with the silicone case off? That could make a big difference. If that helps then you could potentially put a small hole in the case above the IR diode.

There's also aiming to think about - with the case off, I seem to recall it emits to around 60 degrees - so if the Puck was on it's back you'd get far worse range than if it was pointing at your fan.
