Posted at 2024-03-02 by user157591 why not bangle 2? Posted at 2024-03-02 by user156811 If you have a bangle 2 thats fairly warn out. I would potentially buy that too. Mostly i'm making changing to the BangleJS library and i don't want to mess anything up. So having both a Bangle1 and Bangle2 that i can quickly test things would be helpful. Posted at 2024-03-03 by KTibow why not use the emulator for that? does it not support loading whatever you want to load? Posted at 2024-03-04 by @gfwilliams
@user156811 is changing the actual C firmware where it interfaces with the real hardware - an awful lot of that code doesn't get used in the emulator, so even if the emulator works it's no guarantee that the device itself isn't broken Posted at 2024-03-12 by user156811 @gfwilliams So i'm wondering if you could send me the full part name for it. I tried to search for f18 but that didn't seemed to turn up anything useful. Posted at 2024-03-12 by @fanoush It is very old watch now, likely nowhere to be found for years already. Just checked and I bought F18 on aliexpress in 2019, you can't even buy much newer watches. it is this thing https://www.amazon.co.uk/F18-Smartwatch-Bluetooth-Waterproof-Pedometer-Red/dp/B07JLV7ZF1 EDIT: you also can't find it on https://www.dtno1.com/search/index.php?keyword=F18 which is company that sold it, google "dt no.1 f18" Posted at 2024-03-13 by @gfwilliams Thanks for trying to get one! I'll have a dig around here and see if I can find one to send you - there were several with slightly uneven displays so I may have something here that didn't seem good enough to sell still. Please can you email me your address to [email protected]? Posted at 2024-03-13 by user156811 Thanks you so much :) Posted at 2024-03-14 by @MaBecker maybe I can send you one, let me check. Posted at 2024-03-14 by user156811 Cool! Well if you do find one i'll totally buy one off you if your not using it Posted at 2024-06-16 by user158360 Anyone happen to have one? Posted at 2024-06-16 by user158360 @gfwilliams It seems there's still a few F18s still on Amazon in the UK. Is it possible to take one and flash it with BangleJS? Posted at 2024-06-16 by user156811 I think you can flash a f18 with banglejs Posted at 2024-06-16 by @fanoush it is tricky without taking apart but possible, two special dfu zips (sdk11 bootloader fix, sdk12 softdevice+bootloader) and then normal espruino dfu zip, there is slight chance you may brick it by doing it wrong and need to take it apart and use swd Posted at 2024-06-17 by @gfwilliams Yes, as @fanoush says. The files are attached, but use them at your own risk! If you brick it you'll need to access SWD behind the LCD (but at least it's something you can do without damaging the watch - there's just some tape you have to tear). SWD info at: Attachments: Posted at 2024-06-17 by @fanoush you can brick it if you skip the first step that installs patched sdk11 bootloader. This may also happen when you think you've done it but it fails somehow and you don't check the result and go to next step. it won't hurt if you try the first zip multiple times if you are not sure it went ok first time. at worst it may fail with invalid version second time if the bootloader always requires version increase - this is optional feature that the manufacturer can enable. Posted at 2024-08-25 by user145267 Still interested in Bangle1? Posted at 2024-10-13 by user159121 I'll take it. |

If anybody in the US is trying to sell a used or even heavily damage Bangle 1. I would love to buy one. I plan to just use it for testing with. Not actually using it on a day to day.
