Logging sensor data

I was delighted to see that the site flasher.meshtastic.org has a "serial monitor" feature like Arduino IDE does! Is there some way I can save this data and parse it to save senor data to a file like a .csv file or something? I would like to save sensor data for later analysis.
I also noticed the Android app has a wonderful logging and graphing feature! Is there any way to access this data and save it to a file for later analysis?
I have Linux laptop and Opera browser and "Serial Monitor" works great! Is there a way to that data into a csv file using some kind of script or command line thing?
