A different type of modpack that is automatically unpaired and unlocked, meant to be used immediately to add your own mods in.
They could also be inserted into an existing modpack, adding in all the mods (and skipping any already found).
An interesting feature related to this "insertion" could be custom logic created by the authors of the template. This custom logic could automatically disable (or suggest to the user they be exluded) certain mods if they are incompatible with the ones found inside the modpack. (For example, the modpack could warn about inserting C2ME into a modpack that contains a mod C2ME is incompatible with. These incompatibilities would be defined by the template creators)
I can imagine this logic written as a file attached to the template, to be modified by the authors of the template.
In the internet there already exist lists of performance mods for every version, along with their incompatibilities.
Imagine if these could be accessed directly from modrinth and people could collaborate to test different mods to find possible issues.
