Spotify has some interesting search behaviors, but one of them is it will often return a less perfect match to a song first because the other version is newer, more popular or as some suspect a cheaper cover of the song..
This can happen even with Spotify integrated into a google assistant and it is impossible via voice alone to correct this some times. I have given up playing some songs as only the remix will ever play without opening the app and forcing the correct "normal" version.
One recent example is "Hayloft" by Mother Mother.. Currently Spotify returns "Hayloft II" a different song as the first match, but Hayloft and a remix of Hayloft "Hayloft II (SMASHUP) are in the search results.. However if you are trying to use the new voice assistant PLAY intent options in home assistant, "Hayloft II" will play every time.
My suggestion is that as an over all default search feature or per search provide option, that Music Assistant attempts an "exact match first" IE music assistant looks at the results and tries to EXACTLY match the title.. If that fails it will just fall back to the "first hit / current logic"
How often does this happen? Depends. Some songs get a lot of remixes these days and Spotify REALLY likes to pick the remix sometimes. I feel like this is an opportunity for Music Assistant to do it BETTER than commercial products by improving the experience.
