Getting started on a new task is always hard.

Am I doing it right?
Is there a better way to do it?

I tried to explain as much as I knew in the translation docs, but I haven't done any actual translation.

What have you learnt that might help new translators?
What needs documenting (better)?
What can we do to encourage new translators?
