Reviewed proposed concept for VMS SXL that covers many different use-cases, including displaying of dynamic content.
Other protocols like NTCIP are very complex and includes a lot of things like pixel errors, humidity etc. Which of these do also need?
Next steps is to get feedback on the concept and use-cases. Then we can move on to designing concrete message, attribute, etc.

Sensors

Reviewed minutes from previous meeting, where we discussed sensor SXL.
The goal is for the SXL to be technology agnostic, and focus and data types like counts and speeds that is general.

What challenge do we see with the existing traffic data messages in the TLC SXL? we should try to reuse as much as possible.

Metadata like GPS-position, address, etc: should that be stored in the device? Or added later centrally? This is probably a question that is general for all SXLs, not just sensors.

Alarms are important both for maintenance, and for knowing the validity of data.

There's another category of sensors that measures things outside traffic data, e.g environmental sensors that measure light, temperature, moisture, etc.
