So more stupid things to say uhhh Ionic slimeIonic slime is a substance that is highly susceptible to electrical and magnetic fields, those being able to move it around as well as alter it's properties such as pH and perhaps even temperature, it is also highly susceptible to most waves such as radio waves and even radiation, those being received as lots of information as the substance is bombarded by them, at high enough levels of electricity it is able to act much like a sentient being, and in lower levels entering a dormant state, and at "none" being considered dead as to wether or not it is alive, this is further reinforced by the presence of a core, a highly concentrated and thick sphere of slime that is capable of complex thoughts and movement as it is able to store and send high amounts of energy and manipulate electromagnetic fields, being highly valuable for electronic devices if it weren't for the fact that efficient use of it requires a electricity level that would have it awake and sentient. Ionic slimes are essentially a bunch of sentient jelly that can form concentrated minds akin to dionae but on a far smaller scale, and being heavily reliant on electricity to actually be, I hope this makes sense. Membrane slimesMembrane slimes are cell-like organisms that vary in complexity, from just an amalgamation of slime that lacks much complexity to it to what are essentially huge cells with their own set of internal organs specialized for it's primary tasks, these need a centralized core for complex thought and large-scale evolutionary reproduction as opposed to being able to regulate it's properties like Ionic and Magic slime, they are the closest and most compatible type of slime when it comes to carbon-based organisms, the primary difference being in that they are a singular cell and made of a singular substance, Membrane Slimes have varied strains based on the specific molecular structure of whichever membrane organism produces it, being of varied characteristics from highly corrosive acids to helpful medicine. (These are the ones current xenobio entails for the most part, being elaborated upon to make a bit more sense and not be reskinned metroids). Magic slimeTo put it bluntly, a wizard did it. All slime has transmutative properties in a sense, being able to convert things to and from slime under certain conditions, this is the primary means of slime-based organisms acquiring energy, as turning certain things into slime produces energy or heat. I believe that's all? Maybe I made a mistake while writing or forgot something but ehhh. |

Now, you may ask me, what is a glubber? Glubber deez nuts across your face du-
Glubbers are my take on slimepeople based off of how simplemob slimes currently work+some other ideas with the goal of making them make sense, sounds boring? Probably.
Now now now, what differentiates them from regular slimepepople? Quite a few things, for starters how their slime in itself operates. Being highly energized and magnetic, their body being held together by magnetic and electrical fields rather than any structure, in their default state they are perfectly a viscous liquid, taking shape through the core sending electricity to certain areas, and moving in the same way, this makes them quite physically weak and not exactly sturdy in the normal sense, however they also wouldn't get hurt in the normal way either.
Their sight is reliant primarily on sound waves rather than any optical nerves, but they have imperfect versions of optical nerves that allow for color vision and close-range vision but anything too far gets blurry when reliant on sight solely.
They are sensible to waves, being able to feel radios and such as well as being disoriented by radiation exposure.
Oh yeah they're not carbon-based and do not need oxygen, but they do convert most carbon-based things into slime and energy.
Now, what does this mean as to features?
Well, as being bound to substance rather than a bodily structure their health wouldn't actually be measured in physical damage, rather how much energy they have and how much slime there is to them, being drained and possibly even momentarily disformed by emps, being highly affected by pressure variations, temperature variations and chemical presence altering how they function, needing more energy to move the more mass they have also accounting for clothes, being harder to keep a hold of and harder to flee from the grasp of but having a hard time moving things, not being slipped when not wearing shoes or under a few other criteria, not being hurt by floorspikes and such, being able to, while unrestricted by clothing and such, move through grilles and similar.
They have limited vision to anywhere they cannot hear, are highly sensible to noises, not fully blinded unless you both block their vision and hearing, hearing coming from any bodyparts receiving vibrations rather than a centralized auditory system.
Being able to take multiple forms with varying levels of functionality to them which would be a nightmare to code and sprite honestly.
Having very low damage output unless using either specialized weaponry or wearing suits with mechanic movement aids such as hardsuits which give them more of a punch, but also being hard to hurt due to their nature, with such suits requiring a full seal which is highly disorienting to them due to the amount of vibrations occuring, and any breaches to it causing a loss of a lot of mass due to the change in pressure.
This is just a not very well thought or developed idea with multiple issues I need to iron out honestly, but hey, why not actually show the funny thing I talk about so much?
Feel free to tell me how trash it is :)
