Actually, you should just mention Windows 10 and Windows 11 and those locations, as previous version are not supported for Arduino 2.0, see here https://forum.arduino.cc/t/ide-2-2-1-compatibility-to-windows-8-1-64-bit/1201679. |

Hi @thernstig I convert it as a discussion in a dedicated section for the WiKi as not related to issue (bug) with the core itself. You are right, it was written when only Arduino 1.8.x existed. It requires update for the Arduino IDE 2.x. Any contribution are welcome. |
