check user is correct before change password

User is already logged in.
In my account section we want to give update password and update email option.
Now when user want to update these 2, we want to check whether he/she is a correct user or not by use to check the current password of account. If the current password given by account holder is matched with current loggedin user then they can update with new password form field.
please help me on this. I Hope i have explained well

1. install bcryptjs
2. const bcrypt = require('bcryptjs');
3. const isPasswordValid = await bcrypt.compare(currentPassword., newPassword);

This will compare the both password.
