Belgian layers for walking and cycle routes

It would be great to have rendering of these routes tailored to Belgium, as the international layers can't handle the great variety/mess we've got in this country.

Any suggestions on how to render those kind of routes ?

Using the correct colours and correct icons would be a good start :-) Preferably on an overlay so you can use whatever background map you want.

But it's been a while since I've been working with Mapnik, so I don't know what incredible features can be used nowadays...
