I have tried installing score from flatpak, I've tried running multiple appimage versions (in EndeavourOS/Arch). My own folder, default folders (symlinks & copies). No VST3's or LV2's will show up at all
I tried on my Win10 laptop and the same problem there. No VST3's only VST2's
edit: I was wrong about the default folders. I tried the Steinburg designated folders for VST3 and they show up after restarting score. My specific mistake when trying the defaults is the folder needed to be vst3 not vst.
Symlinks do work in the proper folders (Linux and Win[10]). However, these plugins are not listed in the settings window -- only VST2 plugins. Also, no plugins emulated by yabridge.

Heya! yes, VST3 folders are part of the VST3 spec unlike VST2.
There's an open UI task to add a panel that would list them (along with LV2 plug-ins etc), but not too high priority..
Also, no plugins emulated by yabridge.
that's strange - I haven't tried it but if you could send me some yabridged VST or a procedure to try to reproduce this (last time I used a bridged VST was circa 2012 I think aha)
Now that I know VST3s do work. I can work around the folder. I'll need to tell anyone else I point to this about the folder, but it is a bit confusing
For the yabridge plugin, I only have done shortcircuit (1). I can try another plugin for testing but its the only one that I really care to bridge in linux (at least until SCXT can slice like 1)
so I tried looking at the yabridge issue. I tried another plugin that I know is vst2 (ReaFir in ReaPlugs Suite) and it also did not show. I eventually made a symlink from the .vst directory to my own added directory and thats when it showed
