Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
Yes. We send emails to interns and mentors every two weeks to provide them guidance through the internship, and their content was written to reflect that schedule ("Welcome to week 1", "welcome to week 3"...).

Following such a schedule, however, can be quite challenging during the December cohort—our second and third intern chats (and scheduled emails) are often automatically scheduled around or during holiday breaks.

Describe the solution you'd like.
This is both a process problem and a code problem. We need to establish a schedule for the December cohort that takes into account holiday breaks, and we need to rework the wording of our emails to make them more flexible for those schedule changes at the end and start of the year.

@sagesharp proposed separating intern chat invitations from internship progress emails, and reworking text mentioning intern chats to remove assumptions about when it'd take place.
