cant render new maps

when i tried to render a new map something came up in red that i really didnt understand. i have only the basic knowledge on how to run overviewer so anything beyond simply rendering a map is lost to me. what does this mean and how do i go about fixing it?

Is the Minecraft client version 1.9.x installed on the computer you're running Overviewer on?

its whatever the latest one is. i redownloaded it since i havent been on minecraft in a while and i knew i needed the most recent one. the zip file had 0.12.109 in it if that says anything.

oh wait the minecraft client. yah, everything i have is completely updated. the resource pack i'm using, the client, even the overviewer. i redownloaded everything basically.

Okay, so for some reason or another, Overviewer cannot find the proper Minecraft textures. This is strange, as it appears to not find a specific texture in the jar, but apparently can find the jar itself. Can you re-run overviewer with the same arguments, but also supply the --verbose flag and give me the output of it?

um where does that go within the commands? all i do is in command prompt i type in cd C:\Users\Nick\Desktop\overviewer-0.12.109 and then hit enter, then i type in overviewer.exe "C:\Users\Nick\AppData\Roaming.minecraft\saves\Mega Build world" "C:\Users\Nick\Desktop\MegaBuildWorld" and hit enter again. as i said anything beyond rendering a simple map is beyond me. i asked a few friends once about it, even someone who used it before but no one could really help me figure it out other than just doing that to get the basic map rendered. i dont know how to make labels, set night or day, have signs on chest appear, or any of that fancy stuff.

it says debug a lot but i have no clue what the rest means. unfortunately i know very little in any sort of programming. the most i once knew how to do was create a webpage using notepad but i dont really even remember how to that.

Can you please run these commands:

overviewer.exe --check-terrain --verbose

overviewer.exe --version --verbose

(Note that you can copy/paste from a windows command prompted by right-clicking in the title-bar, going to 'edit' and then 'mark'. now click/drag to select the test you want to copy and press Enter. the text will now be in your clipboard)

for the first one it seems like it was checking for a specific file called sandstone_top.png but couldn't find it. the picture is the end result of that command and the second one.

it was a lot so i had to use two screen shots. as i said before it seems like the only thing it couln't find was the sandstone top texture but when i checked it out on the game itself all the sandstone blocks had the entire texture going all the way around so it shouldnt have been missing anything.

(Also note that I won't automatically use snapshots; you'll have to use the texturepath option to use a snapshot jar)

Note that it is looking for magma.png, which doesn't appear in either the 1.8, 1.9, and 1.9.4 client jars. This worked previously (on May 22nd, using overviewer-0.12.81.rpm), with at least 1.8 and 1.9, before I upgraded to 0.12.130.

Ah, I see 1.10 is out. Here's the output from running --check-terrain with 1.10.

It seems to run with 1.10 installed.

It's not obvious which version of the assets are being looked for. I see asset paths hardcoded in the code, but this is obviously minecraft client jar version specific. As this was running on a server that I don't run the client on, there was no indication that the version of overviewer I had installed needed a minimum version of the client assets.
