Overviewer can't find the textures in 1.16.1 Optifine

I tried to run overviewer today and this error popped up:

2020-07-17 14:49:39 E Could not find the textures while searching for 'assets/minecraft/textures/colormap/foliage.png'. Try specifying the 'texturepath' option in your config file.
Set it to the path to a Minecraft Resource pack.
Alternately, install the Minecraft client (which includes textures)

(Remember, this version of Overviewer requires a 1.15-compatible resource pack)
I already tried to reinstall Minecraft, I checked and the textures are there and I'm not using a texture pack.

Do you have the 1.16.1.jar file specified in texturepath? Check your installs - foliage.png and grass.png are present in expected locations in the .jar files for vanilla 1.16.1 and modded Optifine 1.16.1 (pre5) on my system.

I always pull the vanilla .jar and place it in the Overviewer directory, explicitly pointing to that file in the configuration, to avoid issues.

Please also keep in mind that Overviewer will search for a minecraft installation of the user who runs overviewer, so if you run it as a different user than you have installed Minecraft for then it won't find the texture files.

You might double check the .jar you are using is the client, rather than the server. I made that mistake this morning.
