Hi pandoc-ext Team,

thank you for the continued support of cito! I think I managed to install cito with quarto: jalvesaq/zotcite#54

I really like the Idea of semantic enhanced citations and I think it would be even more useful if the CiTO properties would show up to the reader with the cited reference when hovering over it with the mouse (HTML and PDF).
Do you think this is possible?

Also are you interested to include CiTO into quartos extension listings?

Maybe the syntax should be adjusted from @property:ID to @property-ID similar to other references in quarto

Hi, and thanks for the message and for your patience.

Oh, nice! And interesting extension, too.

I really like the Idea of semantic enhanced citations and I think it would be even more useful if the CiTO properties would show up to the reader with the cited reference when hovering over it with the mouse (HTML and PDF).
Do you think this is possible?

That should be doable, and sounds like a good idea!

Maybe the syntax should be adjusted from @property:ID to @property-ID similar to other references in quarto

👍

I'm not sure when I will find time to do any of these. Maybe it would be best to open individual issues for these things, so we won't loose track. PRs are welcome too, of course.

You may also be interested in https://github.com/jcheminform/markdown-jcheminf; CiTO properties are added to the bibliography entries.

I'd be happy to see this included in the extension listing.
