alie

Register aliases and functions with ease 👟

Installation

Install from pip:

pip install alie

Add to your bash profile:

# make sure aliases are updated after running _alie
alie () { _alie "$@"; source ~/.alie; }

# load registered aliases on new shells
if [ -f ~/.alie ]; then
    source ~/.alie
fi

Usage

List aliases:

alie

Create new alias:

alie hello "echo hello world"

Delete alias:

alie hello

Create new function:

alie -f say 'echo "$@"'
