Good day, Thanks for reporting this. We are aware of the issue and looking at some changes, but looks like we cant support Bitcoin at this stage. As a solution the best we can suggest/advise would be to download Flarewallet or Bitpay and importing your wallet there. |
Hi Henk,
Thank you for the feedback.
Please could you help me retrieve my wallet. As this is what it says at the
moment.
Seriously worried that I have lost my BTC. Thank you in advance for your
help

Hi All,
Please can you explain to me what WALLET_NEED_SCAN means? And how do "scan
wallet" to retrieve my funds. I am struggling to get my funds back to a new
wallet. I am scared to delete the wallet and try recover it incase it no
longer exists ( as you have stated you can no longer support BTC)

Could you please give some details - Is this happening on the Bitpay App after creating your wallet on there? |
Hi Ryno,
I was advised to create a wallet in Bitpay but I cannot. I have tried to
import my wallet with the 12 word recovery phase. It says "cannot find your
wallet on our server"
I am also unable to send out any funds to a different wallet
Please tell me what does "WALLET_NEEDS_SCAN" mean?
Why has Particl. Stopped with bitcoin? Is this permanent or a temporary
issue

@Nic13w supporting Bitcoin at this stage would require a massive upgrade, however all hands are on deck on the marketplace. Instead of trying to Import the wallet, try to create a new wallet using the same recovery words in Bitpay or flarewallet. WALLET_NEEDS_SCAN means it needs to scan the Blockchain for outputs associated to the address. |
Hi, |
Yea how???? that's the part I'm stuck at...

Hi,
How can you create a new wallet with same recovery words, it's only
possible if you import the wallet in my opinion, maybe I'm wrong? Thx Tim

Good news, I transferred my BTC on th Bitpay wallet. I used these recovery tools. Unfortunately this is known. Bitpay did change their servers and at the moment there are no developer resources free to fix this within Particl Copay wallet. You have to move your BTC funds to another wallet. It even may be possible the Particl Copay wallet will abandon BTC support -but this is not final. At the moment, if you need to access your funds, you need to move. Tool to extract keys (optionally, if needed): https://bitpay.github.io/copay-recovery/ Source of native BTC Copay wallet (see available for section): Use your Particl Copay recovery phrase to recover your wallet on Bitpay Copay app. |
Thanks for all the help and the links! Very much appreciated! Report back soon |
Could someone please help me, everytime I open my Particl. And go to my BTC it says error querying the blockchain. I refresh and then only, can I see my received. But still no total. Is Particl. Down? Or is there another issue that's easily fixed?? Pls help
