Compatibility with vscode 1.78.2?

I recently updated to the newest release of vscode, but the shortcut for creating new file with this extension seems to be broken. In essence, nothing happens even though the shortcut is properly assigned. Here is the information with vscode version:

A quick update: the extension is indeed working, but the time it takes for the directory menu to pop up is very slow (about 7-10 seconds after the shortcut). I'm not sure whether this is indeed an issue with the extension or some other reasons.
