This year keynote is about sustainable tech and how to reduce the environmental impact of our apps 🌱

This is a topic that is rapidly getting momentum in our industry but the awareness is relatively low and practical guidance lacking.

  • How much CO2 does an app emit?
  • How many liters of water are required to build a mobile phone?
  • What is the best way to make my app more efficient?

It's hard to answer those questions.

This issue is for brainstorming about what could be done in the app to educate and raise awareness about the issue.

One idea would be to display questions in between sessions that users could answer in-app. The winner would win something (something with a low environmental impact 🙂).

The sky in the limit in terms of features and we probably won't have the time to do it anyways but never say never 🙌

Maybe we can also improve (if needed) the application ? I do not know if this is relevant but can have a look with Fanny if some works is needed in order to improve the app (Accessibility, Performance, Useless features, ...) . What do you think ?

Oh yea, that's very welcome, pretty sure there are tons of stuff to improve 👍
