How to properly setup nested namespace package in a monorepo?

Given the following structure:

│   │

│

│   └───mycompany
│       └───utils
│               Logger.py

I wonder if we can do:

from mycompany.utils.slack import SlackNotification
from mycompany.utils import Logger

This is akin to the same thing in C# where we can do something like this:

using MyCompany.Utils;
using MyCompany.Utils.Slack;

Right now, it is just:

>>> import mycompany.utils.slack
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "<stdin>", line 1, in <module>
ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'mycompany.utils.slack'
>>> import mycompany.utils
# Works

As you can see, mycompany.utils seems to override the mycompany.utils.slack module, as I want that to be a wildcard package to put things that cannot be categorized into another workspace yet.
