The website should be created in multiple stages. Our goal is speed over fancy functions.

Stage 1:

  • simple responsive page
  • the design & code should keep in mind this site will grow and adapt over time.
  • use opensource code + fonts * Google Fonts * Open Font Library
  • Logo
  • short introduction
  • a list of upcoming talks (link to meetup.com event page)
  • a list of upcoming speakers (picture, links to their pages + short bio?)
  • directions to meetup locations (google maps?)
  • PDX Web & Design sponsors

Stage 2:

  • Allow PDX Web members to submit variations on the website header to feature new designers
  • Allow PDX Web members to fork the Github website code to feature new page designs and code.
  • Resource Center
  • Meetup.com APIs to show more about an event on the website... like who is attending
  • Find a solution for people placing a hold on space at an even and then not attending leaving people on the wait-list who could have come.

Tasks

  • Find photos of meetup events
  • Ask the community to shoot one of us an email with photos they have taken at events.
  • Alison + Michelle will get started on the logo
  • David will start on the wireframes
