Does not start from applications menu on raspberry pi os x86 in virtualbox

This program compiled and installed with the instructions in the readme.md for debian systems but when I try to open it with the icon in system tools on the raspberry icon it won't start and does not show in lxtask, The host computer is a Dell latitude E6510 running windows 7 pro SP1 x64 (fully updated) with a Intel core i7 740qm a 512MB Nvidia Quadro NVS 3100M 6 Gigabytes of RAM and 8 Gigabytes of virtual memory, I'm using virtualbox 6.1.10 (r138449) to run official raspberry pi os for x86 with the virtual machine setup to use all 4 CPU cores and 4 gigabytes of ram, the virtual drive is a 16GB dynamically expanding VHD setup as 14 gigs for the root partition and 2 gigs for swap and i uninstalled dphys-swapfile

I've never used RaspberryPi OS x86, but maybe there are some other dependencies missing that would usually
ship with some other distros and that's why they went missing in the instructions...

Can you try to start qjournalctl from the terminal? It might give you additional info, e.g. should dynamically linked libraries be missing, etc.
