Hi @kotyara85 We actually gave this a lot of thought, and even dedicated an entire section of our Readme to this: While there are many reasons for using Python here, the main one (I'd say) is extensibility - as with Python it's super easy for a suer to add a new DataFetcher as a python module in few lines of code, no compiling, or packaging required, and Python probably provides the most ready made packages for data-processing / integrations - than any other language. |

Extensibility could be provided through the go plugin support introduced in go 1.8. Also unless you want your python code mounted into the opal-client container you would probably build your own image, which discredits the "no-packaging required" argument a bit. |

Go would be a better choice. IMO
