GPS Accuracy #110
-
Peter I have a recent unit purchased in May 22 I am testing GPS Accuracy. I have the main unit using a pigtail to an external Antenna with the a 12 foot ethernet cable connecting to the NMEA 0183 which connects to a NMEA2WiFi bridge. See attached; Is this considered normal? I have a small boat and was hoping this unit would act as the principal GPS. An alternative might be; thanks in advance JoeW |

The GPS antenna is tuned for the enclosure, not for free space. Please assemble it completely (you don't have to melt the heat shrink though) and test again. |
