some hotkeys/commands not working (particularly nextScreen
)

Hi Sam, thanks for reporting :). I'll try it on an M1 machine later and see if I can reproduce the issue. I use this functionality on an Intel machine regularly, and would expect it to work the same on M1. |
I tried to reproduce the problem you reported, but for me the nextScreen and previousScreen work just fine. I tested it on an M1 MacBook Air running macOS Monterey 12.3.1 with one external display next to it. I'm running on Hammerspoon Version 0.9.97 (6267). Do you see any errors while executing the shortcuts |
I also am unable to use next window, but it appears to be limited to chrome windows. |
I'm encountering the same issue - using next or previous has some very weird behavior - gradually shrinking the window until it's tiny, and then finally moving it to the other screen. I've verified that Hammerspoon has the correct permissions (accessibility), and nothing is showing up in the Hammerspoon console. EDIT: It appears that some windows don't exhibit this same behavior - Chrome seems fine, as does Finder. But Firefox and at least one of my Electron apps have this issue. Here's a video of the weirdness in action: 20220519145013-dgbbzl5h47wbfmxztmee.mp4 |
This issue seems related to Hammerspoon/hammerspoon#3224 |
I'm also seeing this issue. Note: w/ the latest mac update it's gotten worse. It seems that almost no windows correctly work w/ hammerspoon
|
Firstly, thanks so much for providing this - so wonderful to have this functionality.
I used very successfully on an intel mac, and just switched over to an M1, where the window re-sizing works via hotkey, but not various other commands/hotkeys particularly
nextScreen/n
which I really miss.Does anyone know of a change needed to adapt to M1 - I've got it on Monterey 12.3.1
Could it be the OSX version? I can't quite remember if this was working before the latest update ...
Many thanks in advance for any help
