What is a suitable server URL?

Hi, I started reading about learn-ocaml after finding this library, was able to use the web based demo alright, but the documentation seems to mostly be for teachers who are running it as a service. Are there any public servers that will give me a token and a value for the server URL, or do I have to run my own server?

Hi, very good question!

Actually the learn-ocaml platform enjoys two different deployments:

• static deployment (e.g. using a GitHub Pages repo) without a running backend, thereby without tokens → this is the case of URL https://ocaml-sf.org/learn-ocaml-public/ − automatically deployed from https://github.com/ocaml-sf/learn-ocaml-public/ and https://github.com/ocaml-sf/learn-ocaml-corpus/
• full-stack deployment (e.g. using a locally running server from the ocamlsf/learn-ocaml Docker image, or using a static binary provided within the releases).

The learn-ocaml.el frontend is intended to be compatible with both (except that the token-based "saving" feature won't be available with the static deployment), albeit there are still a few fixes to address − FWIW, I plan to make a new release of learn-ocaml.el by next week.
