If user clicks recommend on an empty database, and soon after selects consume, a not too pleasant warning comes about saying "None of the selected products exist in database, wait a minute or two". This is because we go to LCBO immediately and in background do some synchronization and persistence to database. Short of a rewrite, we could simply load a few stores fully before making Login possible, thus having some products in database for sure.
