openbenchmarking.org broken registration #42
Comments
It happened the same to me. Only tried once though. I didn't get any errors when I was registering the account. I would really like to get the validation email. |
no delivery for a gmail account here |
worked for 2 accounts I setup to a corporate email address on the first try if that helps. |
I was not able to create an account across 2 days. I initially tried a gmail account but switched to a corporate email address, but that didn't work either. (I saw the I'm honestly surprised that openbenchmarking.org continues to thrive with such a unreliable signup flow. If the owners, community of anybody else cares, this should be a high priority fix. This gives a terrible first impression to anybody who is trying to signing up, and it's stunting the growth of the users on the website. |
Tried going through the registration process multiple times. No new account ever gets created despite whatever the confirmation emails claim. |
Received a greeting mail back in January 2023, haven’t been able to open the link ever since because incorrect username/password. Abandoned the issue for a year, tried again just now. |
Is there any chance for fixing this issue ? |
Try registering using temp-mail.org. I received the confirmation within seconds. I hope this helps. |
Failed to create an account on openbenchmarking.org (again) today. This is something I try once every few weeks and has been happening for months. I make several attempts at filling out the account registration page, using all varieties of user names and passwords from very simple ones to very complex. The site never complains about my choices and at least 50 percent of the time, it actually informs me that it sent me a confirmation email. This is a lie, however since no email from openbenchmarking.org ever makes it to my inbox. Obviously I've tried checking my junk mail, and have even tried using different email addresses from different services (including my school account). I am out of ideas as to how to make your broken website work, and as I mentioned above this has been an issue for at least several months. Just figured somebody ought to know...
Have a lovely day.
