Docker Image

  • Create a docker image
FROM centos:latest
MAINTAINER NewStar corporation
RUN yum -y install httpd
COPY index.html /var/www/html
CMD ["/usr/sbin/httpd","-D","FOREGROUND"]
EXPOSE 80

Notes:

  • a2enmode this command is used to restart cgi-bin service in ubuntu or debian systems
  • Other then ACL there are other extra attributes in a file which can be accessed by setfattr file-name command stand for set file attributes
  • to check the file attributes we use command getfattr file-name
  • to write some text/meta-data in a directory we can do the following
setfattr -n(stands for new attribute type) user.text (in place of text we can write anything ,its a self made attribute) -v (stands for value ) "some kind of message or value " file-name

$ setfattr -n user.text -v "Hello World" file1
  • It is possible to easily remove boot order list menu using efibootmgr command
  • To check the boot order list menu, run command
efibootmgr  (as root)
  • to delete a boot entry from system , run command
efibootmgr -b boot-order-number -B
