A follow up PR was created here #309 to give users the option to choose wallet directory, it was later closed due to inactivity, can be resuscitated as required

Possibles reasons to have this feature include;

  • Wanting to preserve wallet data for use on another device without having to sync afresh, especially when wallet file is really large
  • Ease of detaching wallet file incase of travelling or other activities just for security reasons
