The YAML-based PLFSRC will need a new parameter for the mount directive that indicates the index type for that mount point. If there isn’t one, it should default to the current index type of “byte_range”.

This would be a good task to work with David Shrader to help him learn more about this aspect of the code base.

Others known to be coming are “pattern_index” (Jun’s compression work) and “mdhim”.
