Summary

This issue tracks the curation status of trainings, whether to retain or remove from the current version of the Plone Training site at https://training.plone.org/.

Description

Every year we remove trainings that have not been updated to work with an explicitly stated version of Plone or Volto. Trainings removed from the current site shall remain archived at a snapshot site at https://2024.training.plone.org/ on the branch 2024. This will take place in February 2025.

So far, only the trainings that were presented at PloneConf 2024 and Mastering Plone 6 development have been verified to work with Plone 6, and Volto 18. All other trainings have not been verified to work on any version, and may be removed in February 2025.

Take Action

Please take the following actions by 31 January, 2025.

  1. Explicitly state which versions of Plone and Volto, as applicable, the training works with in its current published state.
  2. If needed, update the training to actually work with those versions.
  3. Whether the training should be retained or removed for 2025.

@stevepiercy will gladly help with MyST markup, testing, and whatever other assistance you might need.

Would it be possible to leave a link in the current training docs to past trainings that might still be useful?

The frontpage has direct links to archived trainings

I could swear I had materials here for a class I did in Tokyo that was about creating content types and workflows with PFG and D2C… not seeing it listed. Maybe it was not deployed (@stevepiercy thank you VERY much for wrangling the auto deployment!)

@tkimnguyen maybe you remember correctly, but did not push a local branch to this repo, or maybe it's on your fork?
