The diagrams in the FW Profile Editors have two views: a "description view" and an "implementation view". The user selects between the two by using these buttons at the bottom of the "Global Properties" panel:

The FCP Editor should keep this feature. The idea of how it should be used is as follows:

  • The Description View is used to describe in informal terms what a node should do. For instance, a description view might say: "Send the telecommand to enable the watchdog".
  • The Implementation View is available for users who wish to add some formalism which could be used by an auto-coding tool (but, by default, the editor does not provide any auto-coding tool -- this would have to be provided by the users themselves)

This is just a recommendation and users are free to use the auto-completion feature in any text-based element of the editor.

This ticket does not require any action. It is provided only as background information.
