Sample (which sample are you talking about)

Color Picker

Suggestion (the more details, the better)

So, my suggestion is basically a conversation for @thechriskent (I think you can find me on Teams if here is not suitable) on this one ... how possible would it be to build the following codepen into a useable, FULLY OPERATIONAL DEA... color picker?
https://codepen.io/pveyes/pen/gOMbmeY

Essentially, I just thought that if there is a pure CSS method to pick a color (colour!), then it might just be doable here.

I'd be more than happy to work with / solely on it ... but I bow to the master who may take one look at the ':not' selector and think ... "nah, buddy..." 😅

I'm just getting ahead of myself as I want to build a SP List based site theme palette generator that allows folks to actually make a full set of entries ... y'know? ( am going to pair it with an optional, lovely, userscript to see 'live' changes 😏 )

Hi, @aaclage , aha!

Thank you for pointing out that the link which I quoted at the beginning of my suggestion was to a branch or something ...

Sample (which sample are you talking about)

Color Picker

I shall amend it to the main one that you have linked.

https://github.com/pnp/List-Formatting/tree/master/view-samples/color-picker

I am still learning silly little githubisms 😅

EDIT - DONE !

@influential-eliot Sorry didn't saw.

What you could do, I also do is a mix of using out of box classes "You can access here https://zerg00s.github.io/sp-modern-classes/", using the icon name from "https://www.flicon.io/" and use the SharePoint theme builder "https://fluentuipr.z22.web.core.windows.net/heads/master/theming-designer/index.html" the color changes on theme will apply on the reference Out of Box classes.

@influential-eliot for a custom feature like the one you reference, the best should be make a request on Microsoft Lists feedback https://feedbackportal.microsoft.com/feedback/forum/ab3ad59e-6dd1-ec11-a7b5-0022481f35a4 for this .

I believe that would be answering a question that I have not asked, @aaclage ... I am making a suggestion (to Chris, mainly, 😅) that the linked CSS only colour picker might be something that could work in the context of Chris' view format. :)

So, if you have insight into whether that could work, it would be greatly appreciated. But equally, this really is probably more aimed at Chris, since it is their submission ... and who knows ... they may have been inspired by it already and are beaveri ... sorry ... horsing around with ... a similar implementation! :)
