Errors reconciling included files

I am using Emacs and interact with beancount-language-server using lsp-mode. The issue I believe I am observing is that bls is not ensuring context with the journal_root.
In my setup I have a singular main.beancount which includes other files in the same directory but when I open any of the other files I will get reported errors for accounts which do not exists, etc.
I am wondering if anyone has experienced this?

A nicer solution which could be of utility is to automatically detect a user configured "index/default/main.beancount" file either in the directory of the opened file or recursively found up the parent directories as far as the project root.
This would enable multiple contexts such as splitting accounts by year and other user defined account structures
