Drag and Drop of icons causing problems

Weird results while trying to drag and drop files/folders/icons.
Desktop behavior:
When trying to move icons on desktop (shortcuts and files), icons will instantly disappear entirely until reboot.

File Manager behavior:
When trying to drag and drop files/folders in cosmic-files, file manager crashes instantly. While still in the Cosmic Desktop, I am able to drag and drop files and folders within Dolphin and Thunar without issue.

Launching cosmic-files from terminal has allowed me to get this error -
wp_linux_drm_syncobj_manager_v1#88: error 0: the surface already has a syncobj_surface object associated

OS/Distro - CachyOS
DE - Cosmic Desktop Alpha 5 (though problem existed in alpha 4 too)
Wayland window system protocol
GPU - Nvidia RTX2060 Super
GPU Driver Version - nvidia-open 565.77
Kernel - linux-cachyos-nvidia-open 6.12.9-3
