Popcorn time needs to ensure that it is not relaying on web hosting, domains or services like github and reddit. The last thing you want is the website to be taken down, source code deleted and all gone from github. Maybe consider having an onion site were people can download the app, have a forum, and have the source code.

Couldn't Github or Gitlab delete PopcornTime from their site and cause recent contrabutions and tons of source code to be gone? And what is the onion site for popcorn time and popcorn time source code?

This actually already happened once. The thing with Git is that it is decentralised, so everyone has a full repository. There are enough backups on servers, computers etc that this doesn't worry us.
