Explore strategies to make Saturn incentives more decentralised and robust to attacks

Description

We will do the research legwork required to achieve Saturn’s [Milestone M3: Cryptoeconomic Incentives PoC](https://www.notion.so/Saturn-Roadmap-e049d0c9dbbd4fb6901941bdb8dff076).

In particular, we aim to have a clearer idea of how achievable the milestone is and what strategies could be deployed. We will focus on two part of solving this problem - honest reporting and performance-based incentives.

Achieving this milestone involves:

• Reviewing state-of-the-art on the topic of decentralised retrievals and their incentive models
• Discuss proposals with stakeholders and test them when possible

The main deliverables are:

1. A research article with the SoTA analysis and results of the tests
2. A presentation (TBD)

Started to discuss with Patrick and the team some possible paths to make Saturn payments more decentralised. Patrick is keen on a referee model (inspired on the retreiv protocol from CyproNet). There is also the option of an auditor model (similar to validation not, Storage metrics DAO, and autoretrieve) or a self-reporting model (which is our current model).
