This is my new feature request for Thunderbird 115.

  • I want the icon button to open options in a pop-up window.
  • I want to be able to place them on all toolbars(tab, window, header).

Reason:
Because 3 actions are required to access the options.
e.g. Add-ons Manager open --> Scroll and Add-ons select --> Wrench button click

The following add-ons support this:
ImportExportTools NG 14.0.0-b6
PrintingTools NG 2.2.3, 3.0.0-b10

How about adding a context menu entry on the folder Pane menu? It would be where you need it.

Context menu is a good idea, but I think it may not be very simple, for example, to move an item up three places, it requires the following user operations: move pointer to the item, right click, move pointer to the command, left click, move pointer, right click, move pointer, left click, move pointer, right click, move pointer, left click.

Thanks for the comment.

How about adding a context menu entry on the folder Pane menu?

Unfortunately, that is not what I want.
The context menu requires two actions: right-click in the folder pane --> scroll and select the menu.

I want one-action access to options whenever. And also wherever I have a tab or window open.
Are you aware that there are users (minorities) who are visually impaired or have difficulty operating a mouse or keyboard, which requires time and effort?

With the updated version, how do I sort the subfolders?

That is currently not supported, waiting for feedback from @protz on how to proceed. See
