What maintenance needs to be done?

Right now, citations for Alma records are created using the BlacklightMarc gem, and citations for SCSB records are created using local CiteProc-based methods (see #4012).

We want to use CiteProc for all records, to reduce complexity and have consistent behavior between records.

Level of urgency

  • High
  • Moderate
  • Low

Why is this maintenance needed?

  • It will be confusing to users to get somewhat differently-styled citations, based on where the source record is from.
  • It adds complexity to maintain two citation pathways

Acceptance criteria

  • MLA citations all use CiteProc
  • APA citations all use CiteProc
  • Chicago citation all use CiteProc
  • Citations using the BlacklightMarc gem are removed

Implementation notes, if any
