Selectable box in sidebar

I have a selectable box which has popped up on the left sidebar, I am not sure where it comes from. I am just coming back to my docs after a few months break, it ws not there previously, so maybe an update has caused it.

Not sure how to get rid of it and would appreciate any help.

Do you have a link to the source?
Under the hood the items in the sidebar are check boxes so perhaps some of your configurations/customisations might be making these visible?

I have checked in the configs and I don't really see anything that would cause this, I don't remember doing any customizations, it is pretty bare bones that way.

I notice a couple things that might be at play:

1. Only the first toctree on https://github.com/lorne-rtm/rtm-docs/blob/main/docs/user_docs/index.rst?plain=1 is being shown.
2. The final toctree on that page is missing a colon in its caption definition
3. The toctrees and anchors are specified as .. something (note the space). I'm not positive but I think that space shouldn't be there (i.e., write ..toctree:: not .. toctree::). IIRC two dots plus a space makes a comment in rST
