does hatch have a way to create a shell in the non default environment?

when I run hatch shell, I'm put into the project's default environment, which makes sense. If I wanted to be put into a shell for a different environment, like test, docs, etc. I'm not sure how I would accomplish this in the interpreter with a hatch command.

I'd expect hatch shell -e ENV_NAME or something like it to put me in the correct environment. From the env docs, it seems like there is functionality for running scripts in non-default python environments, but not for starting interactive shells in them with hatch.

definitely a tutorial candidate (or worth mentioning in the docs for hatch shell). If one mainly interacts with envs through colon prefix (e.g. hatch run test:cov), this doesn’t come to mind

i just asked the same question in another discussion. i need a bit more information however. i'm happy to add an example to the docs once i understand this. i missed it as well.

i keep trying to activate an environment and then run commands as i would do with conda envts. this is my question
