Is there documentation on the list of things pytest does before the tests functions are ran?

So far I read Python Testing with Pytest book to know
pytest reads conftest.py and the configuration files such as the pytest.ini file or the tox.ini, setup.cfg, or pyproject.toml files that contain a pytest section. Pytest also collects the all the tests before running the tests.

But I would like to know the exact order and also see this in the documentation.
